摘 要:In this talk, I will first introduce a key concept, catalytically active site, in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. Then, one of my research projects, studying a nano-catalyst for the solution-phase synthesis of a complex molecule, will be presented as an example to show how to identify catalytically active site under reaction conditions. Finally, I will briefly discuss my on-going research intended to control catalytically active sites by external electric field.
个人简介:I am currently an associated specialist in Prof. Xiang Zhang's group in Dept. of Mechanical Engineering at UC, Berkeley. After receiving Ph.D. in theoretical chemical physics from New York University in 2003, I worked with Prof. William H. Miller and Prof. Gabor A. Somorjai at UC, Berkeley, studying quantum chemical reaction dynamics, and surface chemistry and catalysis.
